Keeping up with the latest social trends.
Staying on top of social media can be overwhelming, especially when it feels like your social posts haven’t made a big impact. If creating engaging posts is a huge chore for you, then you’re not doing it right. Particularly because social platforms are supposed to be fun! For us, social media content is a ‘quality over quantity’ matter. If you’re in a content rut and looking for inspiration, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve got tips to help increase engagement across social media and drive eyeballs to your products and services.
Make It Shareable
Viral social media posts usually make people feel a particular emotion… a lot. Whether that emotion is joy or sadness, your post should focus on conveying a strong emotion. Even if your product or service solves a seemingly mundane problem – it’s still a problem that can be extremely aggravating to whoever is experiencing it. Having the solution to their issue is a great place to start with your content brainstorm.
Create More Videos
We cannot stress this enough. Video content is KING right now. In the past, videos were expected to be like mini commercials – overly produced and expensive. Currently, even the shortest, lowest budget videos can generate the most likes, comments, shares, follows, click-throughs, etc. Don’t be afraid to grab your cell phone, just be yourself and show off your business. For example, there’s a man named Gerald Stratford, who’s in his 70’s and loves sharing posts of vegetables from his garden on Twitter. He now has over 300k followers. People should respond to you as long as you’re genuine and passionate about what you’re doing.
Keep Evolving
Last but not least, this may be the most important tip on our list – keep trying! Not everything works for everyone. Perhaps your customers react well to your Instagram and ignore your Facebook (or vice versa). Maybe you’ve got a colleague who loves TikTok and wants to give it a go. Set aside time each week or each month to gather your social team to come up with ideas and execute them. It can be quite difficult to do everything alone, so don’t be afraid to lean on your teammates to make your social media presence more successful.
